Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Question: Will it be difficult for my dog to wear?
Answer: The UHMWPE vest is one of the lightest on the market. Its anatomical shape distributes the weight evenly. This will also depend on your dog's training level.
Question: How difficult and quick is it to remove the vest if my dog is injured and down?
Answer: Since the vest is made of several parts, it can be removed from any side of the animal without moving it, within a few seconds, regardless of its position.
Question: Is the Shturm vest suitable for boar hunting?
Answer: Yes. The model with reinforced neck and shoulder protection is designed to protect against fangs, horns, and claws, among other things.
Question: What if my dog goes into the water?
Answer: Yes, my dog can swim in our vests, as the UHMWPE has positive buoyancy, helping them stay afloat. 1000D Cordura dries quickly. The fastenings are made of stainless steel.
Question: How long can a Shturm or Shturm+ vest be worn?
Answer: The wearing time varies greatly depending on the ambient temperature and the dog's breed. Regularly monitor the dog's condition at temperatures above +20°C (respiratory rate and mucus color every 10 minutes) and maintain a hydration regimen. Dogs must be acclimated to the heat for 10-14 days. In hot conditions, use a cyclical work schedule: a strict limit of 15-20 minutes of continuous work in the vest in the heat, followed by a break in the shade with the equipment removed and water.
